Project Scope
Three-story structural steel balconies with ornamental columns and railings, mounted on a historic French Quarter brick building.
Technical Challenge
Attaching new structural steel to an existing historic masonry building required careful coordination of anchor locations and load paths to avoid damaging the original brick facade while meeting modern code requirements for the cantilevered balcony framing.
Outcome
All three levels of structural steel balcony framing, ornamental columns, and railings fabricated and installed to specification, restoring the iconic French Quarter streetscape appearance while providing a safe, code-compliant structure.
